 | Cleveland Right Fielder Picked GL Player of the Week Monday, August 8th, 2033 In the twilight of his career, 35-year-old Tim Meehan of Cleveland recaptured some of the old magic last week and came away with the Gehrig League Player of the Week Award. "I've been playing since I was a kid," Meehan told reporters, "but you're never too old to feel the thrill of success." Meehan outpaced the rest of the league's hitters last week, reeling off 10 hits in 24 at-bats, 4 home runs, and 14 RBIs to stake his claim to the award.
