Marcos Márquez was a calming influence out of the Mar Vista Gulls bullpen this season.

His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 24-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the Sub League 1 Reliever of the Year Award for 2033.

He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Mark Floyd of the Havana Rumrunners finished second in voting, while Gunnar Powell of the Toledo Mud Hens finished third.
