He wants to hit the ball hard." Well, that's just what Funk of the Montebello Tostadas Calientes did against the Altadena Assassins. He went to the plate 5 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, but his club still suffered a 10-8 defeat. "Not much I can say," offered Funk in the postgame press conference. "I got a bunch of hits, but it would have been much better to get a win. Can I trade 5 hits for the win?" Derek Funk hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
