| Carlos González Strokes 3 Home Runs Wednesday, July 27th, 2033 Carlos González was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 11-2 Atlantic City Flops triumph at Flops Stadium today.
The 36-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Flops past the Mill Basin Kings.
"One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," González told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate."
The first baseman went 3-for-4, rung up 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day.
Carlos González flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Chris Shelton in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Chris Shelton in the 4th and hit a two-run home run off León Ibarra in the 6th.
So far this year González has 10 home runs and a .308 batting average. | |
