No Playoff Berth Coming for Albuquerque Wednesday, August 1st, 2029 It wasn't meant to be for the Albuquerque Isotopes this year. Despite a tough battle, they were eliminated from playoff contention today. "It is a bad feeling," said Isotopes second baseman David Miller. "Once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. But you've gotta get in there first, and we weren't able to do that." Albuquerque last appeared in the postseason in 2009. This is their 20th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 19 times in their 19-year history. |
