Miracle End Porter's Streak Tuesday, July 31st, 2029 The Matsuyama Miracle pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Rob Porter hitless in 2 at-bats during the club's 6-4 victory over the Fukuyama Norsemen at Ballpark of Fukuyama. The disappointing performance ended a 21-game hitting streak for the third baseman. "I'm a little down right now," Porter said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." For the year Porter is batting .320 with 11 home runs. |
