 | Sato Receives August Rookie Award Thursday, September 1st, 2033 For a man of advanced years in baseball terms, Hikaru Sato is defying all logic by wading through his first Sub League 1 season. Nonetheless, Sato is proving a formidable performer for Niigata, at least as far as this past August is concerned. Today he was hailed as the Sub League 1 Rookie of the Month. He put up a .263 average with no home runs, 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored. This season Sato has banged out 68 hits in 246 at-bats for a .276 average with 1 home run. He is getting on base at a .328 pace and his totals also include 20 RBIs and 22 runs scored. |   |
