"He was very efficient and he hit his spots," his manager said. "He stayed down in the zone and stayed away from the middle of the plate."

He sustained a bruised cheekbone while being hit by a pitch. Bannon isn't expected to miss a lot of time. However, doctors want to be cautious. They said he would be day-to-day for about one week.
