Tiebreaker Rules

For all of the following, teams are ranked by head-to-head record among the tied teams, with the best head-to-head record designated as Team A, followed by Team B, etc. Ties in head-to-head record are broken randomly. All tiebreaker games are considered to be "extra" regular season games added to the end of the schedule, and thus count for regular season statistics and are played with expanded rosters still in place.

Two teams tied for first: No tiebreaker games are played. Team A is awarded home field advantage for the playoffs.

Two teams tied for second: Single game playoff, Team B at Team A

Three teams tied for first: First game is Team A at Team B; the winner is awarded first place. The loser plays a second game at Team C for the wild card.

Three teams tied for second: First game is Team C at Team B, loser is eliminated. Winner hosts Team A for the wild card.

Four teams tied for first: Two games played on same day: Team D at Team A, Team C at Team B. Winners are treated as described above for "Two teams tied for first"
