Harrison Sizzles -- Smokes Bulls for 5 Hits
Monday, May 2nd, 2033
After a 5-hit effort to lead Kirkwood's 4-3 victory over the Durham Bulls, right fielder John Harrison told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the NFBL Single A-level is really something special."

The 22-year-old player earned his accolades today at Bulls Ballpark with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Bulls.

"His swing is getting there," said Ritters skipper J.J. Johnson, who spoke glowingly of Harrison after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. John did that to perfection today."

John Harrison singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

A look at his season totals shows Harrison with no home runs, .381 BA, .536 OBP, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored.
