Nichols Grabs SL1 Reliever of the Year Award
Tuesday, August 30th, 2033
Ernest Nichols was a calming influence out of the Kirkwood Ritters bullpen this season.

His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 20-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the Sub League 1 Reliever of the Year Award for 2033.

The Merrimac, Virginia native won the award with 7 saves in 32 relief appearances, 84 strikeouts in 75.2 innings and a record of 5-5 to go with his 2.50 ERA.

He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jacob Smith of the Ventura Gulls finished second in voting, while Pancho González of the Durham Bulls finished third.
